Bengal Bio: Michael Scott Henriksen

Michael Scott Henriksen has worked as a tanning salon guru, a grocery store garcon, an automobile components gopher, a rug-industry specialist, a recreational vehicle cosmetic engineer and best boy, a teaching assistant for the Writing Program at the University of Utah, and an editor at Western Governors University. He received his education on the vicious and merciless streets of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and during his time at the University of Utah, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a Master of Arts degree in English Literature (emphasizing in British and American Literature), and a head-ache. In addition to his professional and academic accomplishments, Michael has a voracious appetite for music, literature, cinema, art, and kitty calendars. He also enjoys drawing and writing: he moonlights as a commercial artist and illustrator and he is the author of the unpublished novel Peaked. He lives in Highland Park, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife Vanessa and their cat, the Captain.
